Psychedelic garage rock pioneer from 1965 (I wrote a song about Roky called ‘Unknown Legend’) this is the first album by the band and again has that sparse production and simplicity that makes it a great rock record along with their famous hit ‘You’re gonna miss me’ which was a top 100 Billboard hit in 1966.
Television,Julian Cope (Easter Everywhere) and Primal Scream are three subsequent bands heavily influenced by their sound.
Tommy Hall also came up with distinctive ‘jug sound’ which permeates many of their records.
